[Kyouko smiles at the reaction. It's very much like Madoka, she had realized, to give everyone the credit for something she'd done through her own ability, but Kyouko found this trait endearing rather than grating. It was something that awakened that old desire she had, the one to protect other people.

There was something inspiring about it.

But her expression sobers, at the mention of friendship, of going home. She understands, of course, knows Madoka's heart is in the right place, but saying and doing would be two entirely different things.]


...Yeah. But, you know, I talked to Sayaka before I came to see you. She's so damn hardheaded. How am I supposed to be friends with someone like that?
